Or let's create your own, unique design!
ACCENTS - Choose from geometric designs to intricate
saw, laser or router-cut designs for your foyer, reception
or special accent area. These can run the range from
your family coat-of-arms to your corporate logo to a
whimsical accent unique just to you.
BORDERS - Select a simple, contrasting feature strip
or an intricate, patterned border to accent the perimeter
of a room or area.
STRIP or PLANK - Decide upon a linear look with a single
width (contemporary) or several random widths (traditional).
Do you prefer narrow (1 1/2") or wide (11")
width(s)? Do you like it with or without round or
square,
matching or contrasting plugs?
2 Finishes
Do you want your floor to be unfinished for job-site
finishing (usually with square edges) or prefinished
in a neutral or stained, UV-cured urethane (with eased
edges)? If stained, do you prefer light, medium or dark?
With the availability of custom colors, the choices
are infinite.
3 Species
This decision is driven by color, grain & hardness
since you can select a domestic or imported species.
Do you want a light species (Ash, Maple or Oak)? Would
a darker species (American, Brazilian or Mayan Walnut
or even Wenge) be more appropriate? How about a reddish
color (American or Brazilian Cherry or even Padauk)?
Or purple (Purpleheart)? From the forests of the world,
the rainbow can be your natural palette. Species also
dictate figure or grain. If you don't want to see the
grain, you might go with Maple or Rift-Sawn Oak. If
you do desire unique figure, you can choose Quarter-Sawn
Oak, Birds Eye Maple or Burl & Figured Walnut. If
you're flooring a high-traffic area, remember to select
a species that's hard, e.g., Brazilian Cherry or Walnut
rather than American Cherry or Walnut.
Common species include:
Andiroba |
Aniegre |
Ash |
Beech |
Bloodwood |
Bubinga |
Cherry, American |
Cherry, Brazilian |
Cumaru |
Ebony |
Hickory/Pecan |

Mahogany, African |

Maple |

Mesquite |
Oak, American |
Oak, Tasmanian |
Padauk |
Purpleheart |
Rosewood |

Or another unique species from the forests of the

forestry practices and only sources from suppliers who

4 Construction
Our menu offers both solid & engineered floors.
The solid thicknesses go from 5/16" to 3/4".
Our engineered 5/8" thick flooring features
a 3/16 or 1/4"
wear surface which enables glue-down installation direct
to concrete & greater stability in areas with
extreme high or low humidity. The 3/8 or 3/4" & thicker
floors have tongue & groove construction.
5 Grades
We keep it simple. Our Select grade offers uniformity
in grain & color for a more formal appearance. Our
Natural grade allows sound, natural character for a
more rustic floor. One is not "better" than
the other. It's simply a matter of aesthetics.
6 Scale
Do you require larger patterns/widths for a great room
or ballroom? Or smaller/narrower ones for a foyer or
hall? We can scale patterns up or down to meet your
size constraint.
7 Textures
Do you want your floor to be smooth or textured? If
textured, do you prefer a slight wire-brushing to accentuate
the grain or a heavy hand-distressing to create the
appearance of antiquity? Or something in-between?
8 Installation
Have you already selected your installer, or do you
need a recommendation as to who's the best in your area?
We can assist in that we work with the finest wood flooring
professionals, both domestically & internationally.
9 Time Frame
When do you need your flooring? Tomorrow, because time
is so critical that something from inventory is a must?
Or some time in the future, so that only specification
is the order of the day?
